T&Cs

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

Your pay monthly guitar lesson plan will offer 36 lessons per year, organised into 6 teaching blocks throughout the year (see lesson schedule). Lessons take place during school term time (including evenings and weekends) at a regular agreed time slot. Your guitar lesson package entitles you to two free guitar re-strings per year (strings provided by yourself), and a basic guitar setup (electric and bass guitars only). You will have access to my high quality learning resources and backing tracks to support all the work covered in the lessons. To get the maximum amount of lessons for your money, it is recommended that you start your lessons at the beginning of a teaching block. Students starting later or midway through a teaching block will receive a lesson for each available remaining week in that teaching block but any lessons already missed in that block cannot be carried forward to a later date. Once you have purchased your lessons, you will receive regular sessions on the day and time slot you have chosen.

PRICES:

Prices follow the Musician's Union recommended instrumental tuition rates which are currently set at £40.50 per hour. This reflects the years of specialised training, and represent fair pay musicians.

LESSON CANCELLATION POLICY:

Lessons are scheduled throughout the year on your chosen day. Any lessons you are unable to attend/ lessons cancelled or missed by the student are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. Lessons cancelled by the tutor will either be refunded or an alternative slot offered at the tutor's discretion.

PAYMENT:

Payment is spread over 12 monthly payments. Your first payment is due 7 days in advance of lessons commencing and the rest will be collected automatically on the same date each following month. There is no long term commitment to continue paying should you wish to stop lessons and your agreement can be easily cancelled with 28 days notice (see below).

CANCELLATION OF AGREEMENT:

Your guitar lesson plan can be cancelled easily with 28 days notice and lessons will be offered up to the end of the notice period. Any lessons already paid for are non-refundable. After giving notice, you agree to pay one final monthly payment that is due to be paid inside of the 28 day notice period. All due balance should be paid within 28 days of notice being given. Any unpaid balance will be collected by the Musician’s Union’s collection service at additional cost.

A NOTE ABOUT PRICING:

My prices are in line with the Musician's Union fair teaching rate which is currently set at £40.50 per hour. This reflects the years of specialised musical training and factor in preparation time for personalised lessons including bespoke musical score transcriptions, pieces, exercises and other lesson material. This is commonly absent from many guitar teachers. I hope to have made these lessons more affordable by spreading the cost throughout the year. I am accutely aware that instrumental lessons are expensive (I have had plenty in my time), which is why I take my job seriously, and never take for granted a single minute of lesson time.
